Was so impressed with the Little Zoo Boo event at Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend! We were honored to have a booth this year and enjoyed seeing all of the little ones in their adorable costumes on such a beautiful day. The kids and adults were SO friendly and thankful…how refreshing that was! What a great community we have!

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe what a great list of Summer children’s activities you’ve got compiled here. I will definitely be checking back often. I’ve already marked my calendar with a couple of things I hadn’t even heard of anywhere else.

The RAD safety program put on by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department was a terrific course! Well worth the free charge and even the daily drive to Goshen from South Bend. The kids learn everything about safety from self-defense moves to bus safety to stranger safety to dealing with bullies and more! The class is very well taught and the instructors, Officer Norma and Officer Lon kept the kids’ behavior under control while having fun! I feel my children are much more prepared for the scary situations that can arise and will remember the role plays they practiced to prevent/or react to an emergency situation.

I took my 5 year old son to the Build a Truck clinic at Lowes. We had a great experience together. I was very impressed that it was free, materials were ready to go, it was a quality project and very child-friendly. It was my son doing the work, not myself. He took the truck home, painted it and is very proud of what he accomplished. Also, included in the free price was a smock with his name on it, construction goggles, a certificate of completion and a patch to sew on the smock…great deal!

Big fan of Fridays by the Fountain in South Bend! I took the kids today, brought our blanket a few waters and bought some hotdogs. Great music and wonderful community environment. Very relaxed atmosphere and definitely kid friendly! Might want to bring a football for the kids to throw around in the grass?

My 3 yr old daughter is taking the Pee Wee Tennis Class at Leeper Park also. She was so excited to tell me about everything they did yesterday. Next, we’re hopefully signing up for swim lessons at Mishawaka High School. 6-19-07

I am taking the Parent Tennis Class at Leeper Park while my children are in their separate classes and LOVING it! It is a great way to get back into the game while sharing the experience with your children. Great instructors and program for all ages! Very impressed so far with the Pee Wee and Little Shot classes! Lot of variety in a 45 minute session. Can’t beat the prices!

I attended the first School Day at the Cove with my two kids (age 3,5) and had a blast! The weather was beautiful and we had a great time spending the day together supporting the Silverhawks!

Love Kennedy Water Playground for young kids! It is clean, the lifeguards are paying close attention, and the water playground is very interactive. Great place to meet friends and pack a picnic!

I find this website very informative and extremely useful. My daughter is an only child and I have not been able to find anything for her to do with othe children for a reasonable price. Thank you!
